Summer Activities

Alagna Ski Guides is a Group of Friends dedicated to promoting outdoor, mountain life. All are qualified and highly experienced and have an enthusiasic willingness to pass on their skills and knowledge. Your ski Holiday with a guide could include Ski Touring, Ski Safari, Freeride Off-piste, Ice-climbing or a combination of some or all of these winter activities. Each activity offers the ultimate mountain experience giving you the opportunity to enjoy the solitude of the mountains, untracked powder and beautiful rocks and scenery.

Ski Touring is hiking with skis using special bindings and skins attached to the skis. The bindings allow the heel to be free so you are able to walk. Arriving at an untracked slope the heel is fixed into position, the skins come off and you are ready to ski in some of the most inaccesible places on the mountain. An experience not easily forgotton.

Ski Safari is a combination of freeride off-piste and ski Touring. On a ski Safari you can really make the most of the conditions and because you can keep your options open it is the ideal way to discover hidden places and find the best snow.

Ice Climbing is an exciting, roped activity giving you the chance to climb frozen waterfalls or cliffs and rock slabs covered with ice. Climbing on ice involves using some special equiptment and pushing yourself to the limit. A hugely satisfying experience.

Your guide will be there to offer advice, information on conditions and being safe and will encourage you so you get the most out of your chosen winter sport.

Please also notice that activities of our guides are not ending at the end of the winter season but we are happy to show to you our mountains and more also in SUMMER: walking and climbing on the glaciers and on the rocks of The Alps are only some of the outdoor program we can offer, but also explore and climb on some of the more beautiful and secluded corners of the Mediterranean Sea with a nice sailing boat and much more….

Me and my girlfriend were guided by Paolo during a 4-day program in the Monta Rosa. We made our first three 4000m summits! Paolo is a very professional guide who learned us a lot in mountaineering techniques and mountaineering safety. And with that, we made a lot of fun too! Would definitely recommend Alagna Ski Guides. And last tip, their B&B in Rassa is a good place to stay before your trip on the Monta Rosa.

Paolo was the perfect mountain guide. He organized a great trip for me and my friends on the Monta Rosa, with a lot of variation. His B&B in Rassa is a perfect place to relax. Also he tells great stories over a drink in the mountain huts. Definitely recommend!

We went with Paolo on the Monte Rosa Massif and did a 4 day tour in which we summitted three peaks (Zumsteinspitze, Signalkuppe and Pyramid Vincent). Paola was an excellent and friendly guide. He listened to our requests and did routes that we found both challenging as safe. Definitely would recommend Paolo as a guide. He also has a very nice B&B in Rassa called Locanda Margherita B&B and does tours in the entire area (also Mont Blanc).

We had another great week with Paolo this year. Based in Valtournenche we had options for the Cervinia/Zermatt areas as well as the other resorts in the Aosta valley depending on weather and conditions. Paolo used this flexibility to provide some great days including a wonderful day of powder fun in Pila. Highly recommended and will be back for more next year!

Trotz misslichen Wetter- und Schneebedingungen findet Paolo immer noch eine lohnenswerte Abfahrt, auch wenn sie im Tirol statt im Monterosa liegt! Dazu macht es einfach jede Menge Spass mit ihm unterwegs zu sein. Hoffentlich bald wiedermal mit viel Schnee!
