This is one of the most spectacular places in the world for ski touring and ski mountaineering.
The Arctic climate, highly variable, often provides excellent snow conditions, while the low sun on the horizon creates magical daylight.
On clear nights, you may even witness the mystical beauty of the Northern Lights.

We offer guided ski touring in Lyngen, with accommodation in one of the lodges we collaborate with on the peninsula.
The choice of itineraries and peaks to climb depends on group skills, avalanche safety, and snow conditions.

Snow can be a lot in this corner of Norway: our priority will be safety and your expert guides will do everything possible to reduce any risk to minimun.

2026 ski touring season will end also this year with our 5-stars program that will take us to extra-alpine destinations to visit Norway. The peaks range from 800 to 1,600 meters in altitude, with an average daily elevation gain of 1,000-1,400 meters, starting directly from sea level and offering breathtaking views of the fjord from the summits.
From wide glacier slopes to winding gullies and steep couloirs, you’ll find everything here. The northern Lyngen area is perfect terrain for off-piste skiers and ski mountaineers of all levels you climb.

This program suits to all levels: skiers or telemarkers can take part to the group even at their first experience but with enough training and good downhill skills. In the proposed period, generally the quality of snow, as well as the quantity, are ideal and days with spring weather and light till late in the evening.

Day by day program Norway Ski Touring:

Sunday: We will leave from Milan flight at 7:00 am and arrives in Tromsø at 14:25 am. From the international airport we will have a rental minivan or 2 cars. In Tromsø we will buy food and drinks for the week and then we will drive to Lodge in Mainland Tromsø.

Once we arrive at the house, after having settled in, we can rest a bit and then take a first walk or a reconnaissance by car to see some of the most interesting ski tours.

Monday to Friday: We will enjoy stunning tours across the peninsulas of Kvaløya, Mainland Tromsø, and the Lyngen Alps. The best routes will be chosen each day according to weather and snow conditions, as well as the level of the participants. Tours such as Stetinden, Russelvfjellet, or Storgalten are just a few of the beautiful mountains we may climb. The beauty of the area and the wide variety of itineraries allow us to change location every day and explore the entire region.

Saturday: Short ski touring trip of your choice above the Lodge, followed by an afternoon flight at 15:15 to Milan or to your selected airport.

The program of the daily tours can be adapted and modified according to the weather and the group expectations. Every day tours can be extended by turning them into round trips or shortened if the group is tired. Even the afternoon programs can be transferred during the week.

This is our “classic” ski touring program in Norway but other options are available and we can also tailor a program to suit you. All of these programs must be booked long time in advance in order to secure flights and lodging.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Price Includes
– Full organization of the program, 6 days guiding with UIAGM mountain guide of that will be with you for all period from Tromsø airport and back, helping and providing tourist services.
– 6 nights accommodation in a nice apartment.
– All transfers including airport transfer from/to Tromsø airport.

Not included
– Flight from Milan Malpensa or your choosen airport to Tromsø and return.
– Dinners and breakfast that we will prepare together buying food at the local supermarket (about 15 € per person per day)
– Lunches and drinks during our daily tours.
– Fishing boat trip, or other activity in the afternoon.
– Mountain rescue insurance:

We highly recommend that you arrange your own personal insurance before undertaking any mountain activity.
You can have a look at your own country EUROP-ASSISTANCE, they normally have an outdoor insurance (Outdoor no problem), or we suggest to register as member of your country Alpine Club (like CAF or CAS or BMC, personal insurance is included and also discounted price at mountain huts. Here you can see the official list). If your country doesn’t have an Alpine Club you can also check out the Britannia Section of Alpenverein, that is now normally open also to non-resident in UK: www.alpenverein.at/britannia/membership/

– ABS backpacks, safety & avalanche rescue kit and ski touring gear are not included but we can arrange for them if you let us know in time.

Me and my girlfriend were guided by Paolo during a 4-day program in the Monta Rosa. We made our first three 4000m summits! Paolo is a very professional guide who learned us a lot in mountaineering techniques and mountaineering safety. And with that, we made a lot of fun too! Would definitely recommend Alagna Ski Guides. And last tip, their B&B in Rassa is a good place to stay before your trip on the Monta Rosa.

Paolo was the perfect mountain guide. He organized a great trip for me and my friends on the Monta Rosa, with a lot of variation. His B&B in Rassa is a perfect place to relax. Also he tells great stories over a drink in the mountain huts. Definitely recommend!

We went with Paolo on the Monte Rosa Massif and did a 4 day tour in which we summitted three peaks (Zumsteinspitze, Signalkuppe and Pyramid Vincent). Paola was an excellent and friendly guide. He listened to our requests and did routes that we found both challenging as safe. Definitely would recommend Paolo as a guide. He also has a very nice B&B in Rassa called Locanda Margherita B&B and does tours in the entire area (also Mont Blanc).

We had another great week with Paolo this year. Based in Valtournenche we had options for the Cervinia/Zermatt areas as well as the other resorts in the Aosta valley depending on weather and conditions. Paolo used this flexibility to provide some great days including a wonderful day of powder fun in Pila. Highly recommended and will be back for more next year!

Trotz misslichen Wetter- und Schneebedingungen findet Paolo immer noch eine lohnenswerte Abfahrt, auch wenn sie im Tirol statt im Monterosa liegt! Dazu macht es einfach jede Menge Spass mit ihm unterwegs zu sein. Hoffentlich bald wiedermal mit viel Schnee!
