About MonterosaSki Resort

The MonterosaSki resort consists of three Valleys (Alagna, Gressoney and Champoluc). It covers a vast area and is therefore an environment suitable for all levels of experience, from beginners to off-piste experts, skiers, telemarkers and snowboarders. There are also lots of possibilities for ski touring. Heliskiing is an option paid for separately.

The top lift takes you to the Glaciers of Roccette and Indren, just a few hundred metres below the top of Punta Giordani, one of the fourteenth four thousand meter summits in the Monte Rosa Massif. It reaches the incredible altitude of 3275 metres and makes the MonterosaSki resort one of the biggest and more complete resorts in The Alps. Also from the step below, Passo Salati (2971), we can get to ski almost 2000m vertical on the Bors glacier down to Alagna or Gressoney valley. It is a massive area that gives us a lot to discover: descents over glaciers, into big open bowls and narrow steep couloirs. Our Alagna Ski Guides know plenty of hidden spots to ensure safety and find untracked powder also many days after the last snowfall. There is also the opportunity of doing a day or two of heli-skiing during the week. An ascent with a helicopter to Lysjoch or Signalkuppe gives us a height of 2500 metres from where we can ski down to Zermatt. Lifts and off-piste runs will take us all the way back to Alagna, crossing over the resort of Cervinia, Champoluc and Gressoney, and skiing down for a total 7535 drop metres and doing a round trip of about 70 km in the same day!!!!

We suggest you try the experience of a ski touring day “back country style”, to be able to reach uncrowded places, which usually involves a small climb. We can help you to rent what you need for this activity at the local ski hire shop.
