Miacce & Gattinara Alagna Ski Safari
A nice tour exploring the Western part of The Monte Rosa, passing by the Matterhorn within touching distance, starting and ending in Alagna. After the first day of skiing off-piste to warm up, get use to the altitude and the environment of this high mountains, we’ll cross the second day from the MonterosaSki Resort to the resorts of Antagnod and Chamois and finally we’ll ski down to Cheneil Village where we’ll stay over night. Here we’ll lodge in a charmy mountain Hotel: the historical Albergo Panorama al Bich. Next days we’ll reach skis on Valtournanche, Cervinia, Zermatt and bach to Alagna, looking for some good off-piste rides, glacier ski and local food and mountain traditions. Heliski one day is also an option.

DAY BY DAY PROGRAM:
1st day: FREERIDE ALAGNA, warming up day to get confident with the altitude and the enviromnental of the Monte Rosa. A good after ski aperitivo at the end of the day based on MIACCE, local delicius, and GATTINARA DOCG, the famous and tasty wine of Valsesia.
2nd day: BACK COUNTRY ALAGNA, a day to understand how the skis skins work, organize at best our ski gear and train for the little climbs we have to do in the actual tour.
3rd day: We’ll cross all the MONTEROSASKI RESORT over to Champoluc and Antagnod. At the top we’ll put the skins on and climb up 1 and 1/2 hour to COL DE PILLONET, ski down to CHAMOIS, up again with the lift and ski down to CHENEIL to have a nice dinner and sleep in the charmy vintage mountain hotel PANORAMA al BICH.
4th day: From Cheneil we ski down to VALTOURNENCHE, and with the lifts we transfer to CERVINIA and explore the resort doing some of the classi runs in off-piste. We stay over night in CERVINIA Village.
5th day: Ski over to ZERMATT, reach PICCOLO CERVINO with the cablecar, traverse to Colle della PORTA NERA and ski back down to Zermatt. Stay over night in Cervinia again or Zermatt depending on availability.
6th day: Ski down to CHAMPOLUC in off-piste along the CORTOZ Valley or ski over to Zermatt, reach PICCOLO CERVINO, traverse to COLLE di VERRA and ski down the VERRA GLACIER to Champoluc. Ski back to ALAGNA in off-piste.
This is the “classic” program but other options are available and we can also tailor a program to suit you. All of these programs must be booked in advance in order to secure hotel and hut accommodation.

– 7 nights accomodation half board in Locanda Margherita in Alagna and Mountain Huts or tourist class/standard Hotels in the other valleys, lift passes, (helicopter is not included but is an option)
– 6 days guiding with UIAGM mountaineering and ski guide
– Transfer from/to Milano Malpensa Airport and all the transfers in the Valley of Alagna
– Lunches, heli-skiing.
