Bagna Cauda Tour Val Pellice

A DSCN9795

A week in Val Pellice, away from the crowd. From the glaciers of Mont Blanc to the French Riviera there are about 250km. Val Pellice is located exactly halfway along the stretch of the Hautes Alpes ranging from Monviso to Sestriere, about 50km Southwest of Turin. An ideal holiday destination, Val Pellice is a place rich in history and culture and the beautiful mountain landscape is dominated by the Monviso, “Il Re Di Pietra” (“The King of Stone”).
The Rifugio Jervis, a cosy mountain hut located in the centre of the beautiful Conca del Pra, will be our base camp for the week. This little known area offers excellent ski-touring and multi-day tours. In fact this is a very promising environment for any ski enthusiast in a picturesque and pristine setting. Starting from this beautiful location we can also join up with the Tour of Monviso, a stunning Haute Route that draws a ring around the big massif. The warm hospitality of the refuge Jervis, good food and good wine are the perfect ingredients to make this week more than special. And of course the scent of Bagna Cauda will follow us all week!

Val Maira

A week in Val Pellice, away from the crowd. We don’t have a day by day program for the week. We will reach the Rifugio Jervis the first day if you arrive in the morning at the Torino Caselle Airport (it is also possible to organize the transfer from Milano Malpensa Airport, but this will incur an extra cost). Roby, the guardian of the hut, can provide the transfer of the luggage from the parking to the hut and we can climb up with the skins (about 2 hours). If you arrive late the first day we can stay in a B&B in the valley, probably in Bobbio Pellice, and reach the hut the following day. At the hut we have the possibility to rent the gear needed for ski touring. This should be done at the time of booking to be sure to have the right sizes available. Day by day, together as a group, we will choose the best itinerary taking into consideration the expectations of everyone, the weather and the snow conditions. These are some of the itineraries:

Colle Seillière 2851m; diff. BS, dislivello 1119m

Colle Manzol 2700m; diff. BS, dislivello 968m

Punta Barant 2425m; diff. MS, dislivello 693m

A 2 days tour can be also included with a night in a different mountain hut.

The last day we will ski down to the valley and transfer back to the Airport.

This is the “classic” program but other options are available and we can also tailor a program to suit you.
Also we can adapt the program to the weather and the itinerary is not strict, can be very flexible and for all levels of skier…

All of these programs must be booked in advance in order to secure hotel and hut accommodation.

Please click here if you would like to have information about nutrition during your skiing days.
