High Tatras are the highest part of the Tatra Mountains, which occupy a band of about 60 miles (25 km) on the border between Poland and Slovakia. Geographically they are part of the Carpathian Mountains chain and are divided into Western Tatra (Tatry Zachodnie), Tatra Wysokie (Tatry Wysokie) and East Tatra (Belanske Tatry). The highest peak is the Gierlach (2655 m). The program is to reach Zakopane, a popular tourist resort in Poland, and from here make a crossing tour along the main ridge of the mountain group, starting from the West to the Eastern part of the High Tatras. Landscape an panoramas are wonderful and you will be surprise also about the quality of the ski slopes, often quite steep and ideal for long and good runs.

|Advanced to Expert
|Max group size
|7 per guide
|Group of 7
|from € 1300 x person
|We can help you to find the gear you need or you can take your own. You need a safety kit (with ABS recommended), ski touring set with skins, harness, crampons and light training shoes.
The program suits to all levels: skiers or telemarkers can take part to the group even at their first experience but with enough training and good downhill skills. In the proposed period, generally the quality of snow, as well as the quantity, are ideal and days with spring weather and light till late in the evening. This makes the snow pack normally well-settled and therefore safe from the avalanche danger and relatively easy to ski.
