The Monte Rosa Mountain Range
The Monte Rosa is “our home” Mountain, our playground in winter for Heliskiing, Freeriding and Ski Touring. In summer we can enjoy Climbing, Mountaineering, Trekking, Escursions on the Glacier and Paragliding.
The precious nature of it’s main valley on the South is protected by Alta Valsesia Natural Park , a beautiful area for walking and relaxing.
Alagna lift system reaches 3275 meters at Punta Indren and Roccette Glacier, the perfect starting point for the long off-piste runs in winter and for easy access to the glaciers in summer.
Ideal for who like to do easy walks on the ice in summer looking for refreshing but also for who like to improve his mountaineering technique. Here you can climb some exciting route up to one of the high summits.
The Monte Rosa is the second highest mountain in Europe. It is a part of the Alpi Pennine, is situated on the border between Italy and Switzerland and has 14 summits over 4000 meter.
Punta Dufour is the highest one and is 4,634 metres. On the top of Punta Gnifetti, which is the fifth highest summit, you can find the Margherita Mountain Hut (4,554 metres). This hut is the highest in Europe, it was originally built in 1892 as a scientific and meteorologic observatory and rebuilt in 1975.
Today it is still used as a scientific observatory but it is mainly used as a Mountain hut. When you reach it you can enjoy some good food, a unique landscape and a good bed for the night.
One of our Guides will be happy to guide you up there. You don’t need to have any particular mountaineering knowledge. The climb itself will be a small course, and an unforgetable experience!
